FAQs
Lizzack Family Dentistry
Do you accept insurance?
Yes — we work with most insurance plans and are happy to help you understand your coverage. However, we are not able to work with Medicaid or capitation (HMO-style) dental plans.
If you’re unsure about your plan, just call our office and we’ll be happy to review your benefits and explain how they work here. Even if we are not “in-network” with your insurance, many of our patients still receive significant reimbursement for their care, and we offer flexible payment options to make treatment affordable.
Do you participate in my insurance plan?
We participate with a select number of insurance plans. If we are not in-network with your plan, that doesn’t mean you can’t come to us — and your benefits may still cover much of your care here. Just give us a call so we can review your plan and explain how it works at our office.
Why don’t you participate in every plan?
Some insurance plans simply don’t provide adequate coverage for the level of personalized care, time, and quality materials we believe our patients deserve. By working independently from certain plans, we can focus on what’s best for you — not just what’s covered.
If you’re not in-network with my plan, will I have to pay everything myself?
Not necessarily. Many of our out-of-network patients still receive significant reimbursement from their insurance company.
- Preventive visits (checkups, cleanings, X-rays) are often covered at or near 100%, even out-of-network.
- For basic or major dental work, you may have a slightly higher out-of-pocket cost compared to in-network coverage.
- Most dental plans have an annual maximum benefit, which applies whether you are in- or out-of-network.
We’ll handle all the claim paperwork for you and make sure you understand your estimated costs before treatment.
Can someone help me with my insurance or payment arrangements?
Absolutely. Valerie at our front desk is here to answer all your insurance questions, submit your claims, and review your payment options. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and other major credit cards, and we partner with CareCredit® for interest-free monthly payment plans (for those who qualify).
Call us at (201) 797-7774 — we’ll make the process easy so you can focus on your dental health.
Additional FAQs
Do you see children?
Yes! We provide dental care for patients of all ages, including children. From first checkups to preventive treatments, we create a positive experience so kids feel comfortable at the dentist.
Do you offer emergency appointments?
We do our best to see emergency cases as quickly as possible, often the same day. If you’re experiencing pain, swelling, or a dental injury, call us right away at (201) 797-7774.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Please bring:
- Your dental insurance card (if applicable)
- A list of medications you’re currently taking
- Any recent dental records or X-rays (if available)
- A valid photo ID
Arriving 10–15 minutes early helps us get you checked in smoothly.
Do you offer sedation or comfort options?
Yes. We offer nitrous oxide (“laughing gas”) for relaxation during treatment, as well as computer-assisted anesthesia (STA) to make certain injections more comfortable. For children, we also have a Molar Media Mount so they can watch shows during treatment.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, personal checks, and cash. We also offer financing through CareCredit® for qualified patients.
